Jungian shadow work/integration can sometimes feel pretty bleak.
A lot of people I encounter in leftists circles really need to do this work, and are in a very self-righteous headspace. To admit we do no wrong, aspire to no ill, or harbor no evil thoughts is a toxic hubris. As such, the shadow emerges in behavior more than those people would like to admit. I guess this is a nonsense ramble but ultimately like... what are you people doing that is working re: integrating and not succumbing to the shadow? I try and align all of my life works with the polar opposites of my shadow's desires and impulses. To mixed results. I've done plenty of harm and I've done what I would like to believe is an exponentially greater amount of healing, but I can't know for sure in this embodied instance. Idk maybe I'm just appealing to the more psycho heads in here to riff on this and tell me about themselves.
