Luxury tours to China

Hi all - Planning to be in China in September and booked The Ritz (Shanghai) and the Four Seasons (Beijing), however I am thinking about taking a tour since I do not speak any Mandarin and will be alone. I will have around 10-14 days. So far I've read a ton of bad reviews about Abercrombie & Kent but I cannot find much else. Intrepid Tours and other companies like G Adventures have interesting tours but the hotels don't look great. Any recommendations?
