I was so confident the first few days with the new bra and now I feel incredibly lost on my size. Calculated 38H, now calculating a 38JJ. Is this a shape issue? Why was it going so well before??

I’m not sure if this is tissue migration or because I have lymphedema, but after a week of wearing a bra that seemed to fit perfectly (felt like a hug, the gore was sitting where it was supposed, no gapping), suddenly I am gapping in the same bra even in the larger size.

My measurements are: Loose underbust: 39 Snug underbust: 38 Tight underbust: 37.5 Standing bust: 51 Leaning bust: 53 Laying bust: 51

I was most recently calculated 38JJ/K UK which is much larger than when I was originally calculated. I do have lymphedema, so it’s possible that swooping and scooping is moving fluid into the cup area, so I wore my swell pads but it made no difference.

When I first calculated, I got a different size (larger band, smaller bust). I ordered a bunch of styles in 40GG due to not liking tight bands (I have EDS and a lot of rib instability and pain). I tried the Panache Clara and Envy originally, and didn’t like the fit. It was just too firm. I tried the Elomi Charley spacer, didn’t like it. I settled on a couple bras I liked, Elomi Lucie was my favorite, Sculptresse Bliss, and Elomi Nerina stretch.

I’ve been playing around with how to make the straps comfortable, since I have all those rib issues. I tried the Elomi Charlie and brought the straps together, but felt it was rounding my shoulders. I did some bra surgery and tried criss cross style using J hooks, and that felt comfortable.

As the last couple of weeks have gone by, my measurements have shifted down in the band and up in the cup, and suddenly the bras aren’t fitting anymore. There is gapping everywhere, especially under the breast above the wire (lots of room here and wrinkles, but oddly enough there is gapping on the sides between the strap and the outside of the cup. Even the band is gapping! It’s fine on the bottom of the band but is gapping on the top of the band.

I recalculated using the above measurements. Then ordered a bunch of my favorite Elomis in various sizes between 38 H-J, and they all have the same issues.

It seems like a fit issue now but why was it perfect at the beginning?? Why is the shape wrong now? The only thing I can think is that I’m having edema being funneled into the breast.

Shape wise, I seem to be center full, even fullness when the breast is supported in water but a little full on top when in a bra. I thought I had wide roots, but now I seem to have omega shape. I tried bending the wires but it didn’t help much.

I am so frustrated and I am spending a fortune! Are there any suggestions for fit??
