Question for any at home bakers

Hi everyone!

I have been thinking about starting a little cookie business and was wondering if anyone here has been successful is starting a bakery from home in Gatineau and has any advice to share. I’m looking to figure out what permits I would need to acquire, but I am trying Reddit first before calling the SAAQ/MAPAQ/by-law. I have no interest in branching out to cakes, so no buttercream icing would be used.

I am currently just making cookies as a hobby for friends and family, but can see long term potential, if it’s even possible to do so from a home kitchen.
