I took Ativan the wrong way
Hi, my doctor prescribed me Ativan 0.5 mg about two years ago and I had intermittent withdrawals everyday so she stopped prescribing it. I stopped taking it and I started shaking and felt like I had severe anxiety. This has been going on for about a year . I went back to Dr to explain and she said it was a very low dose that's why I was feeling that way. She prescribed me 3mg of Ativan 3 x a day for anxiety and told me I would feel much better. I already take zolpidem for sleep however I still struggle with severe insomnia. I made the mistake to take the 3 mg at night. I am not sure if this is dangerous or not and how to fix this but it's not helping me relax or sleep anymore. Last night I took 3 mg at night and 1 mg in the morning. Now my head feels shaky and pressure throbbing sensation. Tonight I'm taking 2 3/4 and try to see if I can get some sleep. Why isn't it working? I get up and just want to take more to sleep but I'm afraid of od. I'm scared how do I taper now if I took it the wrong way?
