Im trying to change my major but im confused…
Hi, I am newly admitted freshman into SJSU and at first I wanted to major into civil engineering, looking for a way into the architecture field. Overtime, I started to realize that I want to major more into interior design (a completely different college). I've learned that I can only switch my major after the first semester and the fact I have to contact my advisors about this switch. Though, the thing is none of the advisors have responded to my emails. My orientation was on the 24th and 25th of June and we were able to schedule our classes finally but I was still stuck on my major question. I am worried I won't be able to get the right classes on time. The questions I have are do I take classes under interior designing? Is the portfolio requirement strictly major based? Am I supposed to take civil engineering classes before I can switch into interior design? How soon will I be able to switch?
