Best way to apply granite sealer (Tenax Proseal)?

We recently had Pitaya White countertops installed, which, as I understand it, are quite porous. For obvious reasons, I would like to adequately seal them. I purchased Tenax Proseal based on some of the recommendations online and wanted to get ahead of the process.

Should I put it in a spray bottle or should I apply directly to a microfiber cloth and just wipe on? In either method, should I apply liberally and let it soak in, or should I apply enough to cover the surface and then immediately wipe off? I see conflicting reviews online for different types of sealers, so I want to make sure I nail the Tenax application so my wife doesn't hate me!

Also, do I only need to do this once, or should I do a couple applications to ensure a good seal?
