Upgrading from the Sony a6000 on a tight budget. a6700 or the X-S10?

Buying Advice

One main reason for me to upgrade: I want to be able to take better videos.

I just started getting into camera photography this year. Other than taking snaps, I also love taking static shots of things and stitching them together to form mini Wes Anderson-esque movies. Right now I mainly shoot with sony 35mm f1.8 and sony 18-135mm f.3.5-5.6. I like shooting nature, though I shoot pretty much anything i find interesting.

On paper of course the a6700 trumps over the xs10. However, this brings me to my second reason of upgrading:

I want to make my photos look more cinematic.

The reason I consider the xs10 is because of its film simulation. As a colorblind (a bit of red-green and blue-purple i think?), I was quite struck by the fact that my color grading would always seem a bit off to non-colorblinds. I thought Fujifilm film simulation could help me achieve good looking cinematic photos/videos without me having to spend the extra effort of colorgrading photo and asking for an extra pair of normal eyes to make it seem "not-off"(?). This is the main reason why xs10 is in my radar in the first place.

Why not something like the newer xm5? i like having the viewfinder and the xs10 seems to have better ergo than the xm5.

Also the fact that in my place a second hand xs10 is almost $300 cheaper than a second hand a6700 makes it all the more enticing. granted tho, i do need to sell my current set of lenses and replace them with x-mount lenses.

what do you guys think?
