How can i make my Volcanic Fissure faster with Kaom's?

Hey!
So i am following a guide of Volcanic Fissure, and the starter axe is the Kaoms's one. Its OP, but the attack speed is so low to the point of when i lose rage, i always die on the 1000 years attack animation.
Other than Rage is there something that i can use or have to make it attack faster?
I know that changing axe is the way, but i dont have the currency to craft one right now
