How do you play support

Okay so, I don't have a ton of mechanical skill like yk I average a 0.5-1 kd a round, and the only time I'm only really aggressive is when I play black beard or Osa, the only other person I play other than those two is hibana. But on defense I really like fenrir but I honestly don't know who else to play, I kinda like mute but I don't care much for his guns, so are there any tips for what ops I could try/what strats could I try
