Why are men and women losing virginity before marriage ?

Why is that people are losing virginity at a young age I'm 18 and few of my friends who are 16 and 17 have lost their virginity. Also why do some people choose to wait until marriage and choose to marry at 30 💀 and then they cry about their partner having a past. I would say that people should marry at a young age at 22. (Also I have zero female interaction so sorry if I sound weird)
