What can makes nails grow suddenly faster?
I'm a non-smoking 30 years old transgender male, 1m60, 90kg, on stable testosterone replacement therapy for years.
I also have Ehlers Danlos Syndrom. I take a ton of prescription medication for it, but all the same for years. Opioids pain killer, antidepressants, anxiolytics...
I cut my nails regularly. I don't put any kind of polish or anything on them, I don't give them special care, I have a terrible diet, and yet, for the last couple of months, my nails are growing way faster than usual, and don't break.
I haven't significantly altered my life either, like I didn't went from a mechanic's to a desk's job or anything like that.
I would usually take this as a great sign/sign of health, but since I haven't done anything to be healthier, I find it weird.
It is simply the season? Can it be a medication? My only new one is Vitamin B3.
Basically, I would like to know if It's absolutely nothing, a good new or a bad one, like a little-known fact that fast growing nails mean severe brain tumor/renal failure/lupus/need to cut off body parts/being already dead and just not realizing it.
Thank you so much!
