Moving out for the first time

i am about to be 20 in August who is also in college living off of financial aid during the fall and winter times in California and my boyfriend wants me to move out with him to a 3 room apartment with his friend and the rent would be $1200 a month misusing the water, power and Wi-Fi. for my financial aid i get about three checks for $1800 per semester (assuming that i get it every two months but i am not sure at this time) between the 3 of us rent spilt for each person would be $400 and i have about $3000 saved up right now and it would've been more but i had to help pay off behind bills at my parents house. but at the mean time i am currently working a seasonal job and will have to stop working with them around the first of august because that's when i am officially back at college so more will be added to savings. i just wanted to see if this is reasonable amount to be able to afford to live on my own and still save a least a little. since this is gonna be my first time and i want to be planned ahead.
