First-Year ECE/EEE: MIT OCW as Primary Theory Source for GATE?

general

Hey everyone! I'm an incoming ECE/EEE student (will be joining college this year) and I'm already looking ahead to GATE preparation. My aim is to get a strong rank, and I'm planning to start building my fundamentals early. I'm curious if it's a viable strategy to use MIT OpenCourseWare (OCW) for theoretical understanding of subjects, and then supplement this with practice problems from standard reference books (like Sedra/Smith, Oppenheim, Madeasy, etc.)? I'm particularly interested to know if OCW covers the depth and breadth required for GATE, or if there are specific subjects where it shines or falls short for GATE aspirants. Any insights or alternative strategies for a first-year student would be greatly appreciated!
