Suddenly feel extremely ill
Hi all. I was wondering is someone has experienced something similar or has an idea of what could be the main problem.
Anyways. I am a diagnosed celiac for years. I have a completely GF diet and essentially lived my live without issues until April. I had a full time job, did not drink or smoke. Rarely ate sugar or processed foods and did a ton of exercise.
On may I quit my job and decided to take a sabbatical. I was traveling in South America. I went camping in Peru and ever since I feel terrible. It started with loose stools and then you extreme headaches and fatigue.
It has been over a month since I got back and I feel worse than ever. I have a fatigue that makes me feel stupid, dizzy, I can barely concentrate or think. I feel tired and sleepy all the time. A mild but persistent headache as if I had something pressing on my right side of the skull. I specially feel this after eating anything. In fact I am basically doing fodmap diet and while I feel slightly better I still feel super tired, unable to operate a regular life.
I am really worried it has been a month and I am unable to function properly.
I went to the doctor and he ordered the following exams:
Hemogram: (note I was recovering from the flue when taken) Segmented Neutrophils - slightly below range at 40% Eosinophils - elevated at 8% (0-4 ) Monocytes - 40% (4-47.1) Esosinophils - 0.44 (0 - 0.4)
Gluten IgA: 1.5 u:ml - negative Hiv - negative Ena profile - all in range C Reactice protein - in range
Serial parasitological examinations - all microscopic and macroscopic negative. Positive muscle and vegetable fibers
