1-Week Travel Recommendations?

Hi all! Me and my partner finally have a week off together in August, and I want to plan a trip to surprise her. We live in Canada and are both adventurous types (both outdoorsy and city dwellers).

What would your recommendations be for somewhere to travel that would be worth it if you only had a week? Normally we love to stay somewhere longer and hop from place to place - so looking for recommendations for a shorter timeline.
