Mistaaaaaakes

Closing on a house soon and like an idiot I got a kitten yesterday from a woman who's inside/outside cat had babies. I figured why not, it would be easier to get a friend for my boys now than after the move. Yesterday he was fine (no goop)but crying a lot when I left him alone. Today, his eye was gooped shut and I got it open before heading to work. He was acting fine and rambunctious, eating and using the litter box. I have him quarantined from my other cats and made an appointment as early as possible but not until 7/7.

I will try to update with a picture when I get home, assuming it gooped shut again. In the meantime what can I do? I'm very scared it might be the beginning of fhv-1, but i didn't notice any clouding over his eye. He's been quarantined since I got him and I've been keeping clean just to be safe for my other two cats.

Returning him is not an option.
