Anyone also sometimes getting second place despite having more stars than the 1st?

Sadly i didnt think to take a screenshot but it happened twice now. I nomrally wouldnt care but the missions to get 1st place are so annoying and after ten rounds i finally had more stars and still it put me on the second place. Wondering if maybe its only happening to me or if others also face the issue.
