Pretty sure my roommate walked in on me filming something NSFW and now it’s just… weird

Okay this is super awkward and I honestly just need to get it off my chest because I’ve been spiraling about it for a few days now.

So I (21F) make some NSFW solo content on the side. Nothing crazy, just me, in my room, extra income kind of thing. My roommate (22F) and I have lived together for over a year, and we’ve always gotten along really well. We’re not like best friends but we’re cool. Respectful, share stuff, occasional wine nights, etc.

Anyway, I’m usually super careful about when I film. I only do it when I’m sure she’s not home like when she’s working late or hanging out with her boyfriend or whatever. I never do anything in the common areas, just my room, and I keep the door mostly shut. It’s honestly pretty chill and low-key.

So the other night, I thought she was out. She told me earlier she was going to a friend’s party and wouldn’t be back till late, so I figured it was safe. I was filming something, nothing loud or wild, had music playing low just for background noise, door mostly shut like always.

Then I swear I heard the front door open. It was subtle, but I froze immediately. Paused everything, turned the camera off. Just sat there completely still, trying to figure out if I actually heard anything or if I was being paranoid. I waited like a full minute before checking, and yeah—her bag and shoes were by the door. She definitely came in.

I have no idea if she passed by my room or heard anything. I wasn’t like… moaning or talking or anything. But you know when you feel someone might’ve caught on to something? Since then, she’s been acting just slightly different. Not cold or rude. If anything, she’s being really nice. Like, noticeably more polite and bubbly than usual. Like she’s overcompensating.

And now I don’t know what to do. I’m dying of secondhand embarrassment. I keep wondering if I should say something, like just casually be like hey if you ever hear anything weird I promise I’m just doing work stuff, nothing dangerous or involving anyone else lol but that also sounds insane?? What if she didn’t hear anything and now I’m just outing myself and making it super weird?

So yeah. I’ve just been pretending nothing happened and now every little thing feels weird. I hate this feeling of not knowing whether I should clear the air or just keep it moving and hope it blows over.

Anyway. I feel gross even writing this but I just needed to get it out somewhere. I guess time will tell if it ever actually becomes a thing, but right now I feel like I’m living in a cringe sitcom episode.
