Should I make a new channel or use an existing one?
I have access to a channel I use to operate with some friends. It was a Gameranx style gaming channel with top 10 videos and gaming news. It was only active for four months when my friends no longer had time to collaborate and I didn't have time to run a channel like that myself. I've been thinking of creating a let's play or longplay no commentary style channel on my own. Should I make a new channel or just use that abandoned one? It has less than 200 subscribers, the only pro per se of using it is that well it already has some subscribers which is theoretically better than no subscribers and the branding is already done, looks good, and was consistent.
I think I've read that there is a way to post videos to I guess bypass them going to subscribers first and just get thrown out into the wild of the algorithm. If I use that channel is that a good course of action? The channel has been inactive for less than a year. In fact it still has 1500 watch hours eligible towards monetization that will be valid for the next 20 days. I just cant decide it it's better to springboard this one back to life with more gaming content of a different type or go through the process of making a new one with new branding, etc. If it makes much of a difference 95.3% of all views and watch time came from non-subscribers anyway.
Thanks in advance for any insights you may have!
