first time writing a spicy novel
I’ve started writing when I was 13-14 years old. I started writing a teen-fiction novel and lovey-dovey one-shots. It was so fun. When I was growing up, I stopped writing completely, for almost a decade. Then, one day, I just had this sudden rush of ideas in my head that I couldn’t stop thinking about for about a year. I wrote two novels with a help of a great friend who’s also into writing. It was really fun until it got a little bit too much for me. Writing it was such a struggle. I couldn’t make any build-ups for it. The main body of the story. I just couldn’t. So, I jumped to another novel. I told myself, “Hey, have you tried writing a spicy novel?” And so I started one.
It was so exciting writing it that I get giddy all the time. But, since this is my first time, I get overwhelmed writing the main plots. It just feels inexperienced. I finished 36 chapters, the first season of my novel. But I don’t know if it’s even good enough 🫠
Is there any way that I could overcome this anxiety and get more confidence in writing? Because sometimes I just stop writing in the middle, thinking it’s bland or it doesn’t have much of an impact to the readers.
