2868 !

Yes that's right ! This is the number of women this guy raped, filmed them and made CDs out of them to blackmail them. He needs no introduction, he is the son of a former PM of India and was a sitting MP from Karnataka.

Now ask some simple questions.

1) Do you think anything will happen to this guy ?

2) Do you think his family, his political party, their coalition partner who gave him election ticket was unaware about his activities ?

3) Why people don't people feel the same levels of anger against his activities ?

4) Why are media not talking about his crimes and not asking for justice for the 2868 victims he abused for years ?

5) Even if you were aware, when was the last time this case came to your mind ? When was the last time you checked about the status of this case ?

Let's face it, there are potential rapists all around us. A lot of people who even protest or talk about women safety even harbour these kind of mindset. You see when this Prajwal Revanna case came into limelight, the most googled thing in India became 'Prajwal Revanna s*x tapes' even surpassing Loksabha Elections 2024 which was going on back then. You see the mindset ?

I vividly remember back in 2016, I watched a documentary made by a reputed international media house where in they visited the town of Meerut wherein they unearthed a racket where r*pe videos of local girls were being sold in shops and people can buy them for Rs 200. You see the levels of crimes involved....
 1) Someone commiting the crime
 2) Someone filming it
3) Someone selling it and
4) Someone buying it.

Just because 1, is cominting the crime, doesn't mean 2,3,4 are not criminals. They are all potential rapists, just like the ones who searched for those s*x tapes of the MPs. It's just that they have certain degree of fear of getting caught .

But when you have the power, like politicians have you feel the immunity to do anything and get away with it. Hanging a Sanjoy or Dhananjoy or Manojit won't change a thing. To set an example you need a top down approach.

Will we demand for the hanging of Prajwal Revanna ? Will the media demand it ? Forget about us why even the politicians of the opposing parties are asking for capital punishment against him ?

You see if the grandson of a former PM and a former MP gets hanged for crime against women, automatically it will send shivers down the spine of all low level cockroaches like Sanjoy and Manojit who indulge in the same kind of acts.

We can all do whataboutery TMC , BJP and crimes in their respective states, but the reality is unless the likes Prajwal Revanna and Brijbhushan are brought to justice, the low level cockroaches will always get inspired from them. Manojit Mishra is not a one off criminal, there are millions like them getting inspired from our hundreds of MPs, MLAs etc.

And yes people be safe ! Don't get fooled by all the ones who present themselves as progressive , pro women safety and all that around you. Not all of them are bad, but I can assure you a considerable amount of them are like that during day but at night time will search for Prajwal Revanna tapes.

Why nothing will change because we never asked the right questions
