How and when did you know that consulting was the right path for you?

Especially if you come from an engineering or STEM background, what drew you into this industry? As an engineering student myself, I love solving case studies and I feel like my soft skills are more strong than my technical skills which made me interested in this domain. But was there any project that you did or any experience that made you sure of choosing this as a career, and do you regret leaving behind your technical background now that you're in this industry?
