Fireworks/Fourth/what was that boom megathread

Okay folks, in an attempt to keep the seasonal topic-du-jour posts down to a dull roar (see what I did there), we're going to have a megathread for any and all posts about hating fireworks, loving booms, and anything else related to the Fourth (events, etc).

While this post is stickied (which is probably going to be through about the 7th), any posts about the above listed set of topics will be removed, and comments redirected here. Please help us out and just comment in this thread rather than create a new post, please and thank ya.
