In TFATWS, Sam should’ve been forced to give up the shield
It should’ve been a punishment for a botched initial mission but undercut by Walker’s appointment. It tighten up his vague ‘reluctance’ to be Cap and sharpen the racial injustice theme of the story by tying it into the plot. The whole Isaiah Bradley episode will feel less like a side quest and more like a deepening of a theme.
