Anyone else with a dog who experienced ccd/doggy dementia?

I'm so depressed.... I feel like I took my dog in too early.... my dog was around 18 y.o. - and her condition in which she was especially suffering or main issue was ccd aka doggy dementia. I have read posts on reddit - on here, on 'seniordogs' and other dog-related subs - of owners with their dogs who struggle with ccd - both with their dogs still alive and their dogs that were put down because of ccd - or ccd/doggy dementia being a major reason or ailment influencing their decision.

But, I'm still struggling with the decision that I did it too early - I know QoL was declining - but, I find/found it difficult to determine where that 'point' was that her life should end - since, she can't decide on her own. I've been crying on and off - and sometimes really bad - balling and sobbing so uncontrollably, it leads to screaming. I sound horrific and I have only done it at home, inside - because it's embarrassing (or probably is).

I suppose ppl might think - you can't do anything about it now or something like that? But, it is destroying me. I have other threads - or one in particular, in which I'm talking about dark thoughts. It is that bad.

I'm hoping I can receive more replies, insight or comments from dog owners who went through ccd - how bad it got and what they did - how long they took and when they decided / what made them decide? My dog would eat and love treats - so, that is making me feel so sick to my stomach - some ppl might say that is/was good but shouldn't be the only factor? I can describe more how she was - but, it is pretty similar to what other dog owners say - she bumps into things, she wandered aimlessly, she had high anxiety and she became really anxious when she got 'stuck' - she started to whine and even bark more when she got stuck. Even though my vet said she was probably suffering/or had mental pain/anguish while pacing, I can't feel like I didn't try enough things - just to give her more time. Thoughts? Sorry, if I am repeating myself (what I probably said in other posts). My mind is really messed up.
