Boyfriend (25M) bought bracelet for 25F coworker

My boyfriend 25M was put in charge of the departure gift for a coworker 25F on his team. He consulted a bunch of people and got mixed recommendations from a fancy pen to a custom laptop case. The company gave him around $300 for the gift. He decided to go to the store and pick out a nice bracelet for her. I think it’s inappropriate as both a coworker and as my partner. I feel like buying another woman regardless of the occasion jewelry is too intimate (e.g him picking out something he knows she will wear and enjoy) Am I overthinking this? He thinks I’m crazy for thinking it’s weird.
