IGNOU doubt! Students please reply

I have enrolled in Ignou for Masters in Public Administration in this july cycle. Bro how are the exams conducted in general? Like the syllabus is divided year wise- 1st year and 2nd year and not semester wise. So am I supposed to appear in december's exam? or I have to only appear for end term which according to me will be in June exam cycle in which the whole 1st year syllabus will come??
