Officially diagnosed!
After 28 years of being on this earth, struggling since I became conscious, receiving diagnosis after diagnosis that was not right, I have been officially diagnosed with ASD level 1. I have no idea how to feel right now. I can’t stop thinking about how I was overlooked as a child, misunderstood for so long, and endured so much, thinking I was a defective human. But mostly I’m so happy to finally have an answer, and to have someone on the outside tell me that I’m NOT defective. I’m on cloud 9 ya’ll. How did you feel when you received your diagnosis if it was in adulthood? Did anything change for you? Any tips to start unmasking?
