Christmas eve or day dinner - where to go & when to reserve?

My father (& mother before) died & left my brother & I some $$ so we are taking our adult children on a trip of a lifetime to Maui this winter (2025). My children have never really traveled beyond camping; this is a big deal. My mom always talked about going to Hawaii for Christmas so this is what we are doing.

We want to take out the kids for either Christmas Eve or Day dinner & to spread my parents' ashes. Where is a good place to get reservations near Lahaina? My sis n law tried to get some at Dukes but there aren't any. I've tried a few others & they aren't taking reservations yet.

Does anyone know WHEN they will start taking reservations & where is a nice place to go? We plan on tipping very well. I normally would never eat out on a holiday but my brother's family wants to do this because it was my parents' tradition to eat out on Christmas Eve.

I would prefer to support a local restaurant but am open to anything where we can get a reservation in advance.
