Started my first shot on 11/1/2024 at 334.4 pounds.
Today, 7/2/2025, I'm 234.4 pounds!

I never in my life would have thought i would be able to lose this much weight. In the past, no matter how much or how hard i worked, the best i could do was 40-50 and that took 7-8 months of starving myself, working out hard 6 days a week for an hour & a half, and never deviating from my diet & exercise program. No lunch with coworkers, no dinner with friends, no chips at a party, I even passed on eating a piece of my birthday cake my coworkers got me for my birthday that year bc that's all it would take for me to lose the progress I had made. Which is totally unsustainable long term & why it's never worked for me.

Now I exercise every day but it's way more manageable - 15 minutes rowing machine or 20 on the treadmill or 20 minute dumb bell routine or 15 minutes cardio step class. And while I generally eat well now, making sure to get lots of fiber & protein & fruits & veggies, I've also gone to eat dinner with friends and had steak or fettuccine Alfredo, I eat cookies sometimes, I can treat myself without it causing me to quickly start gaining again. It's a complete 180 from my past efforts, where my whole life revolved around food & exercise. Not to mention I was always crabby bc I was hungry & always sore from so much time spent running myself ragged at the gym.

Even as I've been on it, I have expected it to stop working. As of January, I started rewarding myself for reaching my weight loss goals by buying foldable workout equipment I can break out in the comfort of my own home but fold up & store them out of the way in my place. Since they are foldable, they are lighter than typical machines so they have maximum weight limits. My first one was the fold up indoor bike - had to be 300 or less. The next one was a fold up row machine, that was 275 or less. Then the foldable treadmill - 265 and i was convinced I would never be able to get that one bc i would never be at 265 or less.

The last one is the folding elliptical machine. The max weight is 225. A couple months ago, I saw that and thought : no way will i ever be able to get there. And now I'm only 9.6 pounds away.

This medication is truly a life changer!
I've got a dream vacation at the end of September into October, going to Tanzania & Zanzibar with my friend, and on one leg of the trip, we're taking a small Cessna style plane to the Serengeti for a 3 day safari. There are strict weight limitations for luggage, carry ons, and for passengers bc the plane can only fly with so much weight. Passengers have to be 265 or less, something that i never ever could have achieved without this medication. I am going to be able to have a once-in-a-lifetime experience bc of the major change Zepbound had allowed me to make.

Just needed to share my happiness today with this community who understands the mental toll being overweight can be and always wondering if you can fit in that seat, that booth, not thinking you can make it to under a weight limit, etc.

I've officially lost 100 pounds
