Should I switch my major?

Im 19 and about to start my sophomore year in college for mechanical engineering. But I feel like I have no drive for it. I was going for at least an associates degree but I feel like im wasting my time now. Im not too sure what major to go into tho. Ever since I remember I always told myself that I didn't see myself in college. Other schooling sure, but college never sat right with me. I originally had a plan to go to trade school for AandP and go for an aircraft mechanic. But my parents weren't too fond of the idea and insisted on an engineer in college. I was okay at math (but barely passed algebra) so I wasn't too sure about it. But I went for it anyway. 1st semester was okay but the 2nd I met a few people who had dropped out. My grades are good but I just feel no passion for this. Im trying to get an internship right now but its not going too great. (Maybe because it's too early?) But what had me really rethinking my path was my professor during my 2nd semester He said something along the lines of "if your in this profession for the money then its not going to go well. Engineers dont make as much as the trade workers" while praising the trade workers. I see where he's coming from but I feel like what he said spoke to me. Mainly the reason I went to college was to make more money rather than going to trade. It was mainly my dad who pushed me to go to college. (He's a construction worker)

But im halfway to my associates degree. I dont know if I should just finish it off or drop it now.

For me a job that I would really enjoy would be a job where its in various locations. One that Im not in the same place over and over for month and months. I also really love working hands on and computer/desktop jobs dont appeal to me at all.

Ive spoken to my parents about this and my mom says she never saw the engineer in me (I was a bit confused when she said this, could have been said earlier) but my dad says do what you want but always brings up if you switch too much you won't have anything under your belt. (But I've never switched anything yet)

Originally my goal was to work in thr airport. (Flight Attendant, mechanic, and even as high as NTSB) slowly i feel like Im straying further away from that. My feelings for it aren't the same as they were. I keep getting rejected from various positions in the airport under different airlines.

Ive gone back and forth on CBP or dentistry (tho it doesn't have the travel aspect it still something that has my interest)

Im just not too sure on what an engineer truly does. I dont want to go through schooling and end up working on a computer.

Ive added a criminal justice class to see if its something I would like.

If anyone has some tips on what to do please
