In addition to PCOS I also might have lipedema. I'm lost.
Just throwing my thoughts and frustration into the Internet here.
Had an appointment with my doc today, for weight loss advice. She took a look at me and asked about my mothers size/body shape. My mother has lipedema. My doctor (GP) thinks I also might have it but does not feel confident enough to diagnose it. I have some of the symptoms. Now I have an appointment with a specialist scheduled for Monday.
I dont know. Possibly having not one but two conditions that make me fat has me questioning things. Is the effort worth it? Why bother with diets and medication?
I feel like I am going to be stuck like this. Unhappy with how my body looks. Tired. Feeling guilty when I eat. Pouring the energy I have into maintaining a sick body instead of into things that would make me happy.
And for what? So that once I finally figure out what exact parameters I have to set my life to to be healthy and manage my PCOS but stay fat due to lipedema? Sometimes life is a cruel joke.
Thank you for reading.
