Flight nurse after being on antidepressants?
Currently in the Army national guard with 3 years left on my contract. I have a year and half left of nursing school. I have been interested in Critical care flight nurse for a while now.
Long story short, some life events led me to be on some meds for a while. It was situational however I was on meds for a while (August 2023-May 2025) as I was advised against getting off of them during school despite the situation subsiding due to the negative side effects when getting off of them. Once school ended this year I pulled the trigger but it’s come to my attention that it’ll be an issue with what I want to do.
So with all that said if you have any knowledge or experience in this area I’d be extremely grateful. Even if it’s to say I may be SOL. I’d also be happy for some general info about the process of applying for critical care flight nurse positions.
I didn’t know you couldn’t ask these kind of questions on the R/airforce subreddit and it got removed so here we go again lol
