Baby shower 🧸 VS Cash Fund 💵

Hey guys! I am 11 weeks and I am really lucky to have parents that are providing all of the necessary things for my little one. I am thinking about instead of doing a baby shower where people buy physical gifts instead doing a cash fund party for postpartum expenses. Has anyone done this? I don’t really need anything but the security that extra cash would give me would be so much better than 500 onesies. My husband’s friend is going to throw us a diaper party so this would be in addition to that basically taking a place of my baby shower. If you were to do this, how would you go about it?
