[TOMT] [BOOK] It's the second book of a adventure trilogy. Has two main characters a boy and a girl.

I only read the 2nd book. I think it had a white cover. There were 2 main characters a boy and a girl. They escaped a squahsed/overcrowded kingdom that was under cruel rule. I think the boy was an extremely poor orphan I can't remember what was going on about the girl. They escape the inescapable kingdom(its walled) into the surrounding woods that people are warned not to go there because of crazy people or something. They escape into the woods and reach this village. Initially they were terrified but thereafter they realised it was fine. I don't remember there rest either the village was attacked or they needed to creep back into the walled kingdom or both. The girl gets pregnant if I'm not mistaken.
