is it too late for traffic citation dismissal

Got a ticket for improper passing that i paid but didnt know it was gonna stay on my record! I paid the ticket like 8 months. I was wondering is it too late to get dismissed? I have the video evidence that would more likely get it thrown out. Only reason why i didnt set court date is because i thought this was just a regular ticket.
