Small update to the mediabum.com testimony + Potential sighting on Facebook in 2008-2010
mediabum.com testimony
Some weeks ago, I provided a new user testimony after having created a Lol Superman thread over at the r/morbidquestions subreddit. OP claims to have seen it on mediabum.com and confirmed to me that it was not Guy Robrook's footage.
I now checked the comments, and one user asked OP:
Do you think you can maybe look at 911 footage from reporters and see if the camera quality matches up with some. It can prove if it was filmed by a reporter or just a random person
To which OP answered:
To be honest with you, I really don't enjoy looking at the footage of people falling from the buildings during 9/11. I mainly watched the Guy Rosbrook footage for verification purposes. A lot of 9/11 videos that I recall seeing on YouTube recently have been deleted, even if they don't graphically hit the ground. However, I could try looking at the videos on YouTube for more verification soon.
The best I can do is simply describe what I've seen. I recall seeing videos of people clearly and graphically falling to their deaths and hitting the ground. The camera filming them would follow them all the way down to their deaths. That's what I recall seeing in the first portion of the video.
The second portion of the video showed close ups of bodies that hit the ground at ground level, as if the person filming went down there and captured the bodies for a close up. However, I do not recall the person filming ever reaching ground level and approaching the bodies in real time. It was more like another scene that cut to the bodies after they fell from the buildings. From what I remember, you can best describe it as being a rather short video that was edited in a short series of disturbing clips, which could possibly be what many recall as "lol superman."
I do apologize if I am not providing much, as I'm trying to do the best I can to remember something that I only viewed once 19 years ago. When I get more time and I am up for it, I can try looking at more footage of jumpers to see if I can find anything close to what I remember seeing. If I find something, I will provide an update and try my best to piece it together.
This is interesting, I've never heard such a description of LSM. What do you think? It kind of sounds like a jumper compilation which just switched to footage of the jumpers' corpses for shock value?
Potential Facebook sighting
Another user wrote in that same thread that he saw it back when he was in Middle School around 2008-2010.
Honestly only thing I can really remember are the bodies hitting the floor. Was like 3 of them, not a long video pretty short almost like it was stopped really fast cause the bodies dropping surprised them. I can’t remember if the video was directly on facebook or if it was a link to an old site like rotten.com
I only started using Facebook in 2010 when I was 12, I don't know whether you could've posted videos directly to Facebook or only links to videos were possible.
But I think that it's a good idea to check old Facebook posts, so we could find posts like that. I think we'd have a good shot at finding some interesting stuff there.
The question is just how we could do that? Any ideas? WayBack Machine wouldn't work due to log in requirement? Too bad there isn't a "Search old Facebook posts" AI...
Also, another question: What other subreddits could I ask people whether they've seen Lol Superman, so we could gather more testimonies?
