Is it cringe to email a program coordinator as a rising third year?

Community based program that takes a lot of DOs and IMGs. Really interested in the program but I haven’t done my rotations yet. I have been working under this specific speciality for the past 3 months and have really liked it a lot.

I have no connections to that program and wanted to email the program coordinator if she would be able to connect me to someone that can mentor/guide me through this process

Is that weird ?
