Dynamix Auto Fan Control
Currently my HDD in mij server are running hot +40°C and I like to keep them between 30°C and 38°C depending on the time of the year. There are 3 fan controllers used on my motherboard.
- CPU fan from CPU header
- 2 exhaust fans controlled by temperature sensor in nearby (mosfets, voltage controllers,...)
- 3 intake fans behind my hotswap bays, also using a motherboard temperature sensor.
With the Dynamix Auto Fan Control plugin, I'm able to control the PWM header and scale the fan depending on the drive temperatures. It works great and lowers the drive temperatures by 5 degrees while running hot, without overcooling when not running.
When the drives spin down, the plugin decides to stop the intake fans. Killing the airflow through the case completely. I even tried setting the minimum PWM on 100 for a test and minimum temperature on 50°C and it still stopped the fans when the drives where spun down.
Is there a solution for this, that the intake fans keep running on the minimum PWM when the drives are spun down?
Thanks in advance!
