My friends can't relate to anime even tho they watch anime

So like my friends and I watch animeand read Manga, thats how we became friends but I sometimes wonder if they do. Like bro they say they enjoyed it but can't get the reference when I make something about an anime like Naruto. I've been an anime guy since like before the great shift and they always look at me weird when I make a reference like nikos eye celebration in blue lock or so even as simple as a dbz meme (the vegeta"im not a big fan of the government“ One) and they have watched way more anime than me even the weird ones. Is it just me or am I schizophrenic or what?
