I sold an expensive doll, and I like to be upfront about flaws or possible defects. The doll was described as: *”Holds poses well; joints are stable. Right elbow is slightly looser than the left but doesn’t affect posing.”* I provided a photo showing the arm and elbow posed. I took photos of her prior to wrapping her for shipping. I also have photos I took of her after she was wrapped, and how she was packed for shipping. (In case of claims like this. This is the first return request I’ve ever had.)

The buyer never asked me to provide any extra photos or asked for specific information before she was purchased. (Which I also state for buyers to do before purchase on the listing.) I can’t tell if this is buyer’s remorse or what. They took photos for the return they started but can’t provide photos that the doll isn’t doing what they claim. It just looks like the doll’s arm isn’t how they wanted it posed. They even thanked me for her being wrapped well in a message before they started a return.

I’ve already been paid (the payment was due immediately during purchase), and was paid out out to my bank account. The transaction is listed as “completed.” What happens now? Is this a valid reason for return, even with all of the information given and evidence provided in my listing photos? I’m wondering about the eBay’s potential ruling & they’ve placed a hold on any further payouts if I make other sales. Should I reply to the return request by replying to the buyer further, or should I just let eBay respond further on my behalf? (Forgive the formatting I’m on mobile.)

Is this basis for a return?
