With the soon to be pt changes and other looming changes, the current administration is trying to reduce the end number for the dod. Expect va disability changes (proportional to your time in service). They will make a pension a thing of the past except for a certain few who are legitimately committed to 20+ years of staying in shape. I’d be willing to bet the total force will be shrunk 25% over the first two years of implementation if commanders actually hold their folks to the reg.
