Is it a good idea to go to PE during New Years ?

Hi there , to the people who have been staying in Puerto Escondido long term or to anybody that has visited Puerto during the New Years … is it a good idea to visit during those times ? Is the weather good ? Night life ? We’re half through the year and I’m starting to plan my end of year plans .. thought maybe visiting was a good idea but I have never been to PE
