Can I keep NEM 2 for SGIP battery rebate?

I just got the email notification stating my application is under review for approval of the SGIP battery rebate. I know as of last June 2024 a new rule was put in where you had to move to NEM 3 if you take the rebate. However, their website states “Applications received on or before June 4, 2024, are not subject to the new rules.” So I’m curious if I’m basically grandfathered under the old rules and thus I can stay on NEM 2? I originally applied and got waitlisted in October 2022.
