You're being pressured by your doctor and the people in your hypothetical social circle to have a genetically modified kid. What do you do?
In this hypothetical world, everyone is equal, and society no longer uses money. Almost all parents genetically modify their babies to be perfect: smarter, stronger, and healthier than natural humans. These engineered kids never get cancer or STDs; they almost never get angry, and they grow up to be more empathetic.
Now, you are thinking about having a baby, and everyone around you is pressuring you to modify your future kid. Doctors, neighbors, friends, coworkers, even your boss all say a normal child will struggle in this world. Schools and jobs only want super-smart kids. Other children might think your kid is weird. Doctors warn that natural kids have an increased risk for various diseases, including cancer. They are statistically more likely to throw tantrums and cause more trouble than genetically modified children. But that is only because normal kids act like normal children, while genetically modified kids seem unnatural, because they are perfect in every way.
