Hi All,

I have a KIA sportage MK4 registered 2019.
I am due to get a full set of brakes and discs fitted.
I have chosen as it is cheaper to buy the parts separately and just pay family for fitting rather than a main dealer.

My issue is I dont know what size brakes and discs to buy as well as what brand?
I have entered my reg in
 AutoDoc.
EuroCar parts
Halfords
Car parts 4 less
And
Parts in motion

There so no definitive answer.
Sizes range from 262mm to 320mm discs.
Most common being 302mm on the rear and 305 on the front and this is what the websites point you towards.

However, when you go into the specifics the more common 305mm front disc says 16" wheels
and the 320mm says 17" wheels, is this an absolute wheel size value for the disc or does it mean, the wheel must be at least this size in order to fit?

Reason I ask is the 320mm seem to cost a lot more than the 305mm and at the same time I dont want to buy the 305 and then be told on fitting day it is too small and it was made for a 16" wheel.

As for the rear discs, the sizes just seem to be 300/302 in size and dont vary much, there only seems to be 2 choices per manufacturer (1 with and 1 without an electronic handbrake)

I have attached an image of the alloys fitted for ease.

If someone could please confirm the sizes I need if at at all possible, and whether the 16" or 17" on the disc data sheet means exact or must be a minimum of.
If it was exact, apparently according to tyre shops you can get 19" wheels for the mk4 but there is no disc size bigger than 320 so it leads me to believe it means 'must be at least' and not absolute.

I really don't want to have to book a 'free halfords brakes check' that isn't really free as they are going to just tell you you need brakes and probably not measure them until after you agree to buy them.

Finally, pricing, where os best to buy the pads and discs from?
Prices seem to vary week by week.
I checked 2 weeks ago when I added some items to my halfords online basket and screenshot the price, the price for the same part today was 3 times more expensive. Leading me to believe it will redice in price again.

Any help would eb appreciated
