Draw the Circle
Come, draw the circle, heart’s ancient vow in ink.
Take your time; I’ll guide your hand.
Our fingertips meet, spark of longing, breath suspended.
Concentration is key-
our lips quiver as the needle nears.
What we draw here is love’s old magic,
deeper than blood... fierce as fate.
A slip would carve regret beneath the skin:
our pact, once sealed, etches into memory.
I vow to ink my truest self into you,
a promise pulsing under your veins.
A warm ember of my soul to shelter you.
I may only hope you endeavor the same as well.
Your hand hovers, poised to sign beneath my mark.
When your trembling name meets mine,
we bind lifelong feelings, for better or worse-
a circle unbroken, irreversible, eternal.
