Beds for shared room?

I've got an 8 and 11 year old who will be sharing a smallish room, and I'm looking for some tried and true recommendations for sturdy beds. Either beds with storage or bunk beds probably, but I was contemplating the idea of two loft beds with desks under them? Just not sure how I would orient them in the room.
