Surgery

I had a colectomy 9 days ago. My surgery was laparoscopic and they removed 10”. I lost a lot of blood during surgery and had a leak but that stopped and I narrowly avoided a blood transfusion. I am still in a lot of pain. I’ve had other surgeries but I’ve never been panicked over running out of pain meds like I am now. I started running a low grade fever over the weekend but the Dr on call said it’s a big surgery and loss of blood is making me feel bad. Should I be feeling better? Should the pain be less? I go for my follow up next Tuesday. Just wondering what everyone else’s experience has been?
